Translating Absence Setup to other Languages

Business Requirement: Create Absence Reason in multiple languages. Example: In English and French.

Solution: Oracle Cloud HCM supports 26+ different languages. If the requirement is to translate the absence reason to one of the supported languages then you can follow the steps mentioned below

Step 1: Navigator > Absence Administration > Absence Reason > Create

Step 2: Fill in the details

Effective Start Date	1/1/15
Name	Sick for Work
Legislation	France
Status	Active

Step 3: Click on Save and Close.

Step 4: Log out and before logging in change the language from English to the language you want to translate the absence reason to.

Example: I want to translate my absence reason from English to French.

Fill in your User Id and Password. And Log In.

Step 5: Go back to Navigator > Absence Administration > Absence Reason > Search in Name for Sick for Work

Step 6: Open the absence reason, change the session effective date to 1/1/15 and Rename Name to "malade au travail "

Step 7: Click on Save and Close.

Now whenever the employee logs in to the application using the language of preference as French, while applying for absence he/she will see the absence reason in French. And when the employee logs in to the application using the using the language of preference as English, while applying for absence he/she will see the absence reason in English.
