Reset User Login and Password Through Security Console

In R12 there is no OIM(Oracle Identity Manager), the various activities which were performed in OIM will now be done using Security Console or Person Management.

To reset User Password

• Log in as an Admin/HR
• Ensure your ID has this particular role: ORA_FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB
• Also run the “Import User And Role Application Security Data” through Scheduled Processes on a regular basis to keep the user data in sync.

Navigation:

Navigator > Security Console> User Accounts > Search for the user > Select the Action button > Reset Password > Manually Change the password > Give new password and confirm the new password > Submit

To reset the User Login

Navigation:

Navigator > Person Management > Search the person > Action > Personal & Employment > Manage User Account > Actions > Edit User Name  > Ok > Save

Now you have successfully changed your Login ID and Password. 

When you Login, use your new ID and Password.
