Weekly Off Schedule


Business Requirement: The employee does not work for certain weeks of a year. A weekly off work schedule has to be attached to the employee.

Solution: Create a work shift, work pattern and work schedule of type duration and period type as off. If the work schedule is attached to an employee, the application will consider the person to be not working for the duration for which the work schedule is attached.



 1. Creating Work Shift

Go to Setup and Maintenance >  Search for Manage Work Shifts > Create

  • Open Weekly_Off_WS 
  • Under Resource Assignment > Create 


  • Instead of Resource Type as Assignment, you can also choose Department, Employment Terms, Enterprise, Job, Legal Employer, Position, Location.

    Now when the employee applies for leave during the period 1/4/16 to 1/15/16 , the application will throw an error message.
